Six-Time Major Champion Adds International Star Power to Event

VICTORIA, B.C. (August 24, 2017) – Tournament Organizers are pleased to announce that Sir Nick Faldo has committed to playing in the 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship. Faldo, who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1997, had one of the best careers of any European player in golf history. The event will take place at Bear Mountain Golf Resort in Victoria, British Columbia the week of September 11-17, 2017.

With six major championships, more than 40 tournament victories and a total of 98 weeks as the world’s number one golfer, Faldo has cemented his legacy as the most successful golfer that Britain has ever produced. Through the creation of Faldo Enterprises, the 60-year-old has also become a prolific success off the course. Faldo has also launched a new career as a television commentator, which has resulted in lead analyst positions for CBS and the Golf Channel.

For his contributions and service to golf, Faldo received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in November 2009. Sir Nick Faldo is the only living British golfer to receive such an honour.

“Sir Nick is a true golf legend, and we could not be more excited to welcome him to Bear Mountain,” said Pacific Links International President, Rudy Anderson. “He is an impactful addition to an already strong field.
